What are the Benefits of Regenerative Cell Injections?

The primary benefit of this procedure is its ability to alleviate chronic or acute pain in the joints of the body. Its minimally invasive nature also means that these results can be achieved without the need for any downtime or recovery. This makes regenerative cell injections an incredibly easy, painless, and effective way to live a pain-free life.

How Are Regenerative Cell INjections Performed?

We will begin this treatment by extracting viable cells from your adipose fat tissue or bone marrow aspiration. Dr. LaGrasso and his team of highly trained medical staff will assist in completing this treatment that will take about three hours. We will perform a mini-liposuction treatment to remove about 120cc units of fat while you are under a local anesthetic. Then, we will separate the fat from the harvested cells in a centrifuge. Once isolated, these cells can be injected back into your body where needed.

If liposuction is not a possible avenue for you to acquire your autologous cells, we can also perform a bone marrow aspiration under a local anesthetic to retrieve the cells. This will remove about 60cc units of bone marrow. Then, the process is the same. The bone marrow will be inserted into a centrifuge to separate the marrow from the harvested cells. It is then ready to be injected back into your body.

Keep in mind that you will not feel immediate relief from pain with regenerative cell injections. However, this can impact the rate at which your body heals or repairs itself from inflammation and/or traumatic injury.

What Can I Expect During/After My Regenerative Treatment?

We hope to make your experience as comfortable as possible. You may be sore for a few days after the treatment. However, you should be able to resume activities as normal without limitations. If you experience side effects or think you may have an infection at the injection site, please call our office immediately for assistance.

Regenerative Cell Injections FAQ

Best Candidates?

The regenerative cell injection candidates will be adults who have pain or inflammation in their joints, such as the knees, shoulders, elbows, and more. This procedure requires a consultation before treatment can begin. If you think you may be a candidate for these injections, please call and set up a time to discuss all of your options with Dr. LaGrasso.

When Will I Feel A Difference?

Every patient will react to the injections differently. Keep in mind that it will not be an immediate relief of pain. You may also be additionally sore for several days after the treatment just from the procedure itself as well.

Will You Use My HARVESTED Cells?

Yes. We use the patient's own cells in this treatment. This reduces the potential side effects of the therapy. Since we use your viable cells, you will have minimal risks but may still have some irritation from the injection site and/or risk a possible infection at the site of treatment. We can discuss all the benefits and risks of this treatment at your consultative appointment.

How many regenerative cell treatments will I need?

The number of regenerative cell treatments you need will depend on your pain levels and overall health. Some people see noticeable results after just one session, while others might need a few more to get the full benefits. We'll work with you to figure out the best plan during your consultation.

How long will my results last?

Results from regenerative cell therapy can last a long time — often for a year or longer. The aim is to heal and regenerate tissue, so as your body repairs itself, you'll likely notice improvements that grow over time and have a lasting impact.

How much do regenerative cell injections cost?

The cost of regenerative cell therapy varies from patient to patient based on each person's needs, including the treatment area and number of injections. Insurance may or may not cover the cost of this treatment, so it's a good idea to check with your provider. We can discuss all the details, including payment options, when you come in for your consultation.
